Please join us on September 25 at Havana Gallery for "2,500 Paintings of one Woman," an evening of film and art. We are showing J. Paul Preseault's documentary about Pablo Perea alongside Pablo's solo exhibition of new paintings.

The opening reception begins at 7pm with a special movie screening at 9pm.

Asst Director: Edward F. Torres

Edward F. Torres is a Co-Founder and current Artistic Director of Teatro Vista...Theatre With a View. He has a BFA in Theatre from Roosevelt University and an MFA in Film from Columbia College Chicago. In 2005 he served on the Illinois Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts theatre panels. Most recently, he directed The Sins of Sor Juana by Karen Zacarías at the MFACM. The play is the winner of the Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play at the 2000 Helen Hayes Awards. He has also appeared on the Goodman main stage production of Luis Alfaro's Electricidad, as well as the critically acclaimed Pulitzer Prize winning play by Nilo Cruz, Anna in the Tropics at Victory Gardens Theatre. He can be seen this fall in the Midwest Premiere of Elliot (A Soldier’s Fugue), a co-production between Teatro Vista and Rivendell Theatre Ensemble.

Directorial Credits for Teatro Vista include the following: The Show Host, co-produced with Victory Gardens Theatre (also at Theatre on the Lake), Ambrosio, Broken Eggs (Theatre on the Lake), The Boiler Room, co-produced with Steppenwolf Theatre for their Student Exchange Program (Theatre on the Lake) and the critically acclaimed production of Aurora's Motive (Theatre on the Lake).

Oystercatcher Media's founder, Ryan Maneri, comes from a background in science filmmaking. After earning a degree in Biology, Ryan developed his eye for visual storytelling at Montana State University’s world-renowned Master of Fine Arts program in Science and Natural History Filmmaking.
In 2005, Ryan moved back to Chicago to launch Oystercatcher. His passion for promoting awareness and change through visual media has been the driving force behind Oystercatcher Media. Over the past four years, Oystercatcher has created hundreds of videos in many different fields.
